Today’s What I Wore Wednesday is brought to you by The School Run!! As I mentioned the other day (and don’t forget to enter my giveaway!) it really has taken about a month for us to find our groove as we settle into our new full time school routine. Having a well edited wardrobe has made at least one thing easier, so I thought I would show you what I have been wearing for the last couple of weeks, since I like to look put together when dropping off or picking up the kids.
Tuesday: I’ve decided I don’t love this dress anymore. It’s comfy, and easy to look after, but seeing it on me in photos makes me think it is not that flattering. So, I think it will soon be relegated to “at home” wear.
Wednesday: Now this dress is still a fave! I don’t usually wear bold earrings, so this was a bit of a change for me, and while I felt a bit self conscious for a while, I really liked wearing them.
Thursday: Another dress! People always ask me why I am ‘dressed’ up, but honestly, I just find dresses so easy to just throw on. One piece, a few accessories, and you are ready to go. I am not a fan of summer, so easy, breezy dresses make life that little bit easier for me.
Friday: My nod to “French Friday”! I love the look of these shoes, but every time I wear them, I forget how much they hurt my feet after a few hours! Still love them (and wear them!), though.
Saturday: OK, this is not a school run pic, but I did go to Irini’s ballet class, so that kinda counts, right?
Monday: This top is the same printed fabric as the navy and white dress I was wearing earlier in the week. When I saw the top on sale, I bought it, and I am so glad because it has become one of my favourites.
Tuesday: This is another favourite outfit, just because it is so bright and cheerful! Plus, the ponte pants look as good as tailored pants, but are as comfy as putting on a pair of tracksuit pants.
Wednesday: I liked this outfit, but looking at the photo, I think it would have looked a lot better with either a pair of black sandals (on my shopping list, since me fave Nine West ones fell apart) or my black ballet flats. Plus, this top is actually fuchsia/hot pink, not the colour it appears in the photo.
Thursday: Photobombed by my daughter!!
Friday: Kids at school, lunch out with the girls from our old playgroup. I really, really, really need some black sandals 🙁 These pants are way too long for my flip flops.
Monday: Another dress that I think might be retired to ‘at home’ wear – what do you guys think?
Tuesday: How fitting that I finish off the week with my favourite dress! This time I wore it with the black ballet flats, and it looks much better.
