What I Wore Wednesday

September 25, 2013 | Fashion, fashion friday, monday mingle, today's outfit, WIWW

pleated poppy

If you are visiting for the first time and see these pics, you will think I only wear blazers – I swear I do wear other items, but in this classic spring weather, there really is nothing more practical or stylish than a well cut one!

If you are getting bored of my Dior-inspired outfits, look away now, ’cause here’s another one!! It was the perfect outfit for the weather, and for my meeting with the web design company for work – pulled together, polished, but not too formal. And BTW, is it a recruitment requirement than you must be under 20 to work in web design? I swear, I felt like a grandmother walking through their offices!

Also, I got a few comments last week about these heels – they are indeed by Lands End, and not only are they incredibly well made and expensive looking in real life, they are supremely comfortable as well. I got them last year, and they have become a real staple of my wardrobe.

Navy tank: Eileen Fisher
Boyfriend jeans: Mink Denim
Navy blazer: Sportscraft
Leopard print heels: Lands End
Monogram necklace: C Wonder
Charm bracelet: Pandora

Today was truly four seasons in one day. At times, it was freezing and raining, and I was so glad I decided to throw on this scarf at the last minute, whereas around lunchtime, it was so warm, I was thrilled that the silk top I was wearing was sleeveless, and I was baring arms for the first time in months! I bought this scarf on a whim, just because I thought the yellow horses on the grey were super cute, but it goes perfectly with this silk top with its shades of grey, yellow and cream.

Silk tank: CAbi
Navy linen blazer: Sportscraft
Mini boot cut jeans: Gap
Black patent heels: Innovare
Charm bracelet: Banana Republic

While I was slow to jump on the “glam” track pant trend, I’m now fully on board, even wearing them to a nice restaurant and then the theatre. Paired with heels, statement earrings and a blazer, they were wonderfully comfy AND dressed up enough for a beautiful evening out.

Black knit: Eileen Fisher
Black blazer: Ann Taylor
Print knit pants: Estelle
Gold bamboo hoop earrings: C Wonder
Black heels: Urban Soul

See you all next week!!
