The first week of school is over and done with, and school holidays already feel like a distant memory!! I don’t think it helped that I came down with a horrible cold at the beginning of this week…
Wednesday: Today was a really funny day weather-wise, cold and rainy one minute and then almost hot the next. I think this has become my favourite outfit!
Thursday: This photo is terrible 🙁 My apologies!! But I did really like this preppy styled outfit! Today I was meant to have a meeting with a web design firm for our business, but it was cancelled at the last minute, so I was “dressed up with nowhere to go!”
Friday: Tonight was my nephew’s 17th Birthday party so I wanted to wear something a little bit dressy, but still mostly casual and since the party was outside, I wanted to be warm. This top from etsy seller ErinAlexandraKlym is amazing! From the front, it just looks like a plain long sleeved tee, but from the back it has this amazing detailing:
Saturday: The day was back to being cool and rainy, and the day was mainly spent at home, so I was dressing mostly for comfort rather than anything else.
Sunday: This is when the cold started in earnest, and I really felt as bad as I look! Having to stand at soccer at 8.30 in the morning probably didn’t help – but at least it wasn’t raining, after having bucketed down all Saturday night. I love these Hunter rainboots – you all know I love me heels, and with these, I can even have a little heel down at soccer in the rain and mud! Plus, the back detailing is just gorgeous:
Monday: By today, I was really feeling the cold, so after the school run, I headed straight to bed for a couple of hours until I had to pick up the kids at lunchtime for their speech therapy. I am not usually a fan of workout gear unless you are actually working out, but given I felt like doing the school run and therapy in my pyjamas, this was a pretty good substitute!
Tuesday: Another day spent in bed and another tracksuit; again, I did the school run, and this time I slept the whole day away until pickup time. It was just what my body needed!
